# Core Keeper Console Commands and Cheats: What Exists in 1.3 (and What Doesn't)

Core Keeper has no console commands that a player or server owner can just open and type. The game does contain a developer console (Quantum Console). Since patch 1.2.1.0 it's switched off by default and only reachable by mods. The commands people mean when they search for "Core Keeper commands", like `/give`, `/spawn` and `/noclip`, come from the community **ChatCommands** mod. Server admin tasks (admins, kicks, bans, PvP, guest mode) are buttons in the pause menu, not commands.

> [!NOTE] Checked against Core Keeper **1.3.0.6** (9 October 2026) and ChatCommands **2.2.2** (updated 21 September 2026 for 1.3)
> Sources: Pugstorm's patch notes on Steam, the dedicated server's own `ARGUMENTS.txt`, and the ChatCommands page on mod.io.

## What Actually Exists in 1.3

| What you want | Where it really is |
|---|---|
| Admin rights, kick, ban | Pause menu, as world admin |
| Turn PvP on or off, guest mode | Pause menu, as world admin |
| A new Game ID for your server | Pause menu: the regenerate button beside the Game ID |
| Infinite items, free building | **Creative** world mode (set when the world is created) |
| `/give`, `/spawn`, heal, noclip | The ChatCommands mod |
| Server settings (player cap, seed, mode, season) | Launch arguments or `ServerConfig.json`. See [Core Keeper Dedicated Server Setup: Game ID, Direct Connect, Arguments and Ports (1.3)](/knowledge-base/core-keeper/core-keeper-dedicated-server/) |

## The Hidden Developer Console

Pugstorm's own notes trace it:

- **1.2.1.0 (6 May 2026):** "QuantumConsole is now accessible to mod developers and can be switched on by setting MenuManager.enableConsole to true."
- **1.2.1.3 (20 May 2026):** "Steam Achievements will no longer trigger if use of console commands is detected during a game session."
- **1.3.0.3 (29 September 2026):** "Fixed the revealExploredAreas console command so it works again in PC builds."

So there's no key you press in a normal game to open it, and Pugstorm hasn't published a command list. `revealExploredAreas` is the only command its notes name. Getting at the console takes a mod that sets that flag. **Using console commands switches off Steam achievements for that session.**

## ChatCommands: the Commands Everyone Lists

ChatCommands by limoka8 on mod.io is the mod most "Core Keeper commands" lists are copied from. Version 2.2.2 is tagged for 1.3.0, as both **Client** and **Server**, and needs the **CoreLib** mod. You type its commands in chat. The main ones:

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/give {itemName} [count] [variation]` | Gives you an item |
| `/give food {item1} + {item2} [count]` | Gives you a food item made from two ingredients |
| `/copy [count]` / `/info` | Copies the held item / shows its object ID and variation |
| `/spawn {entityName} {x} {y} [variation]` | Spawns a creature or object at a position |
| `/heal [amount]` / `/feed [amount]` | Heals / feeds you |
| `/invincible` / `/passive` | Toggles invincibility / makes enemies passive |
| `/noclip` (`/noclip speed {multiplier}`) | Fly through walls |
| `/maxSkills`, `/resetSkills`, `/setSkill {skill} {level}` | Skill levels (0 to 100) |
| `/placeTile…`, `/removeTile…` (and `Area` versions) | Places or removes tiles at positions |
| `/remove {objectID} [-all]`, `/clearInv`, `/kill` | Cleanup and reset |
| `/setReveal [default\|large]` | Map reveal radius |

Positions are world coordinates with `0, 0` at the Core. Put `~` in front of a number to make it relative to you, for example `/spawn <name> ~5 ~5`. Arguments in `{}` are required and arguments in `[]` are optional. Don't type the brackets.

One caution from the mod page itself: the author warns that "several users of Xbox (gamepass) reported crashes" and doesn't recommend it there.

## Using Commands on a Dedicated Server

If you want ChatCommands on a dedicated server, it has to be installed like any other server mod. The server never downloads mods from mod.io itself:

1. Install ChatCommands and CoreLib on your own PC from mod.io.
2. Upload both mod folders to `CoreKeeperServer_Data/StreamingAssets/Mods/` on the server, then restart it.
3. Every player installs the same mods at the same versions.

[Core Keeper mods](/knowledge-base/core-keeper/core-keeper-mods/) walks through the upload, the Linux asset-bundle catch and the log lines that confirm a mod loaded. We haven't tested ChatCommands on our servers. The mod page doesn't say whether every player or only admins can use the commands on a server, so try it on a copy of your world first, and take a backup ([How to create a backup](/knowledge-base/general/how-to-create-a-backup/)).

## Cheats Without Mods: Creative Mode

For building without limits, use a **Creative** world instead of commands. On a dedicated server that's `-worldmode Creative`, and Pugstorm warns that "changing between creative and non-creative modes after the world has been created is not supported". Start a new world index for it. Don't flip your survival world. On a GameServerKings server, open a ticket before you create the world and we'll set the mode.

## "Admin Key" Is an Item, Not Admin Rights

Searches for "Core Keeper admin key" are mostly about the **Admin Key**, an in-game item (the Core Keeper wiki has a page on finding and crafting it). It has nothing to do with server admin rights, which are granted from the pause menu as described above.

## FAQ

### Does Core Keeper have console commands?

Not for players. There's a developer console that Pugstorm opened to mod developers in 1.2.1.0, but it's off unless a mod turns it on. The usual command lists come from the ChatCommands mod.

### Do commands disable achievements in Core Keeper?

Yes. Since 1.2.1.3, Steam achievements stop triggering for the session once console command use is detected.

### How do I give myself items in Core Keeper?

Either install the ChatCommands mod and use `/give {itemName} [count]`, or play in a Creative world. Vanilla survival has no item command.

### How do I make someone an admin on my Core Keeper server?

From the pause menu in game: a world admin can make other players admins, and kick or ban players. There's no admin command.
