This guide covers granting and using admin access on your DayZ server. For first boot and connecting, see Getting Started.

DayZ doesn't have a native in-game admin command system like Minecraft's /op. Admin tools come from:

• RCON (via the passwordAdmin field above and BattlEye RCon tool)
• CommunityOnlineTools mod (in-game admin menu)
• Trader mod for trader posts
• VPPAdminTools another popular admin tool mod

For the CommunityOnlineTools mod approach (recommended):

1. Install the mod (see Mods section below).
2. Configure your admin UID list in profiles/CommunityOnlineTools/Permissions/Roles/.
3. In-game, press the configured admin menu key (default Insert) to open the admin GUI.
