# How to add Sub-Users to your panel

Sub-users let friends, co-owners, and moderators manage your server with their own logins and only the permissions you choose, no password sharing required.

## Adding a Sub-User

1. Open your [game server](/games/) in the panel and go to the **Users** tab.

2. Click **New User** and enter their email address.

3. Tick the permissions they should have (see below) and save.

4. They receive an email invitation; once they set up their account, the server appears in their panel.

## Choosing Permissions

Permissions are granular checkboxes grouped by area. The groupings that matter most:

| Group | What it grants |
|-------|----------------|
| Control | Start, stop, restart, and use the console |
| File | Browse, edit, upload, and delete server files |
| Backup | Create, download, and [restore backups](/knowledge-base/general/how-to-create-a-backup/) |
| Database | View and [manage databases](/knowledge-base/general/how-to-create-a-database-via-your-panel/) |
| Schedule | Create and edit [automation schedules](/knowledge-base/general/how-to-setup-schedules/) |
| User | Manage other sub-users; grant sparingly |
| Startup | Edit startup variables |
| Settings | Rename and reinstall; grant sparingly |

> Console access covers most moderation needs; file, settings, and user permissions are where accidents and abuse live. You can always add more later.

## Editing or Removing Access

Back in the **Users** tab, open any sub-user to adjust their checkboxes, or remove them to revoke access instantly. Changes apply immediately; nothing needs a restart.

## Common Issues

- **The invite never arrived**: have them check spam, or remove and re-add the email; the invitation resends.
- **A sub-user cannot see a tab**: they lack that permission group; edit their user and tick it.
