# Palworld Aquatic Pal Fluids: Best Pals, Kelpsea Ranch and Uses

**Aquatic Pal Fluids** is the 1.0 name for what early-access Palworld called plain **Pal Fluids**. It is the same material, renamed in the 1.0 release on 10 July 2026. You get it from **Water Pals**, which drop it when you defeat or capture them. For a steady supply, put a **Kelpsea on a Ranch** and it produces aquatic pal fluids by itself.

If your inventory is empty right now, the short version is to catch Water Pals near the coast until the Kelpsea ranch is running. The rest of this page covers where fluids come from, why you need so many of them in 1.0, and how to stop running out.

> [!NOTE] Checked against Palworld **v1.0.5** (released 15 September 2026)
> The rename is why searches for "Pal Fluids" and "Aquatic Pal Fluids" return different guides. Anything that calls it Pal Fluids predates 1.0, and its recipe counts may be out of date too.

## Every Way to Get Aquatic Pal Fluids

### 1. Water Pals (drops at 100%)

Every Pal on this list drops fluids on every defeat or capture. The only thing that changes is how many:

| Pal | Fluids per kill | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| **Suzaku Aqua** | 5 | Best per kill; late game |
| **Jormuntide** | 2–4 | Also drops more on its Lv. 80 variants |
| **Faleris Aqua** | 2–4 | Feybreak |
| **Venusa** | 2–3 | Also drops Venom Gland 2–3 |
| **Amione** | 2 | |
| **Surfent** | 1–2 | Freshwater, early–mid game |
| **Celaray** | 1–2 | Early coasts |
| **Whalaska** | 1–2 | Also drops Ice Organ 1–3 |
| **Azurobe Cryst** | 1–2 | Also drops Ice Organ 1–3 |
| **Pengullet** | 1 | Also drops Ice Organ 1–2 |
| **Kelpsea** | 1 | The ranch Pal, see below |
| **Fuack** | 1 | Early game; also drops Leather |
| **Teafant** | 1 | Early game |
| **Gobfin** | 1 | |

The early game belongs to **Fuack, Teafant, Celaray and Pengullet**. They are all low-level, common, and give at least one fluid per kill, which covers your first Hot Spring and first Cement. Later on, **Jormuntide** and **Suzaku Aqua** are the farm targets. One kill of either is worth four or five Fuack.

### 2. Kelpsea on a Ranch

Kelpsea's Partner Skill makes it drop Aquatic Pal Fluids while it grazes on a Ranch. In the 1.0 game data the yield climbs with Ranching level, from **1 per cycle at level 1 to 3–10 at level 10**. A Ranch is Technology Level 5, costs 30 Wood, 20 Stone and 30 Fiber, and holds four Pals.

This is the only source that keeps working while you do something else, so it is where every serious base ends up. Two Kelpsea on one Ranch comfortably outpace a mid-game base's cement habit.

### 3. Expeditions

Once you have beaten **Zoe & Grizzbolt in Hard Mode**, the **Rayne Syndicate Smuggling Warehouse** expedition unlocks. It returns **10–20 Aquatic Pal Fluids** per two-hour run, alongside Leather, Ore and a Kinship Peach. It is endgame, but it is also the biggest single batch in the game. See [the Hard Mode bosses guide](/knowledge-base/palworld/palworld-hard-mode-bosses/) for what that fight involves.

### 4. Fishing and water treasure

The 1.0 game data also puts fluids in fishing-pond loot (1–6 per catch, depending on region) and in underwater treasure (10–20). Neither is worth doing *for* fluids. You will simply notice them building up if you fish.

## Where Your Fluids Go

Fluids are a building material first. That is the part most guides miss, and it is why a stack disappears faster than you expect.

| Recipe | Fluids | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| **Cement** (makes 10) | 1 | Every Cement batch. Cement goes into furnaces, fishing ponds, hot springs, the Aquatic Construction Kit and more |
| **Cryogenic Coolant** | 1 | New in 1.0; see below |
| Hot Spring | 3 | Your first SAN recovery building |
| Tomato / Lettuce / Potato / Onion / Carrot Plantation | 5 / 10 / 3 / 2 / 1 | Every farm plot after berries and wheat |
| Water Fountain | 8 | |
| Surfent Saddle / Azurobe Saddle | 5 / 10 | |
| Tire, metal barrels, Deer Scare | 1–3 | Decoration |
| Memory Wiping Medicine | 50 | The big one-off cost: 50 per dose |

**Research is the other sink.** In the 1.0.5 data, the Watering Research chain costs 20, 30, 50, 100 and 200 fluids across its five tiers, and Base Pal Enhancement 1 and 2 cost 100 and 200. That is over 600 fluids for research alone.

### The 1.0 change: Cryogenic Coolant

1.0 added **Cryogenic Coolant** (1 Aquatic Pal Fluids + 1 Ice Organ), and it now sits in refrigerators, furnaces, heaters, coolers, several saddles and endgame weapons. Base levels 17, 21 and 22 each require a coolant building. That adds a second steady drain on top of Cement, and it is why players who never thought about fluids in early access now run short. The full recipe list is in the [Cryogenic Coolant guide](/knowledge-base/palworld/palworld-cryogenic-coolant/).

## Server Angle

Fluids are a shared-stockpile problem on a multiplayer server. Every player's plantations, cement and coolant draw from the same guild chests, and one person crafting Memory Wiping Medicine can clear out a week of ranch output. Two `PalWorldSettings.ini` values change the supply side:

- `MonsterFarmActionSpeedRate`: Pocketpair describes it as the "Item production speed multiplier from grazing". It speeds up every Kelpsea on every Ranch.
- `EnemyDropItemRate`: "Dropped item quantity multiplier." This scales what Water Pals drop.

Both are explained, with the stop-edit-start workflow the file needs, in [Palworld Dedicated Server World Settings Explained](/knowledge-base/palworld/world-settings/). You can only change them if you control the server, which is one practical reason groups move to a [dedicated Palworld server](/games/palworld/).

## Common Questions

### Are Pal Fluids and Aquatic Pal Fluids the same thing?

Yes. 1.0 renamed Pal Fluids to Aquatic Pal Fluids. Older guides, and some wiki pages that have not been updated, still use the old name.

### What is the best Pal for Aquatic Pal Fluids?

For passive farming, Kelpsea on a Ranch. For farming by hand, Suzaku Aqua (5 per kill) and Jormuntide (2–4). Early on, Fuack, Teafant, Celaray and Pengullet are the easy targets.

### Can you craft Aquatic Pal Fluids?

No. You get it from Pals, the Kelpsea ranch, expeditions and fishing.

### Why do I keep running out of Aquatic Pal Fluids?

Cement. Each batch of 10 Cement costs one fluid, and since 1.0 every Cryogenic Coolant costs one as well. A base that builds a lot of Cement is quietly spending fluids the whole time.
