Satisfactory Installing Mods on Satisfactory
This guide covers installing mods on your Satisfactory server. For first boot and connecting, see Getting Started.
Satisfactory has mod support through Satisfactory Mod Manager (SMM), which uses the Satisfactory Mod Repository at ficsit.app.
Step 1: Install Mods on the Server
The cleanest workflow:
- Install SMM locally on your computer from
ficsit.app/smm. - Switch SMM to dedicated server mode and point it at your server.
- From SMM's UI, browse and install mods.
SMM uploads the mod files to the right folder on your server automatically.
Manual Install
If SMM is not an option:
- Download mod
.smod(or.pak) files fromficsit.app. - Upload to
FactoryGame/Mods/<ModID>/via SFTP. - Restart the server.
Client-Side
Every player must install the same mods through SMM on their local client. SMM has a "lock" feature to ensure version parity.
