Managing your Unturned server

Manage server backups and apply fast solutions for plugin DLL errors or map breakage that occurs right after Unturned game updates.

Backups

Player saves and level data are small. Snapshot daily via the Backups tab; frequent backups are easy here.

Common Issues

  • Server is in the browser but will not connect: Often a corrupted client BattlEye install. The server is fine; have the player verify or reinstall BattlEye.
  • Workshop content missing on the client: Players must subscribe to the same workshop items on Steam. Unturned does not push workshop content to clients automatically.
  • RocketMod plugins not loading: Confirm the folder name matches the .dll filename (case-sensitive on Linux) and that dependencies are present.
  • "Map not found": A workshop ID is set but the map line in Commands.dat does not match the map's actual ID name. Check the workshop page.
