Palworld Server Settings Generator
Adjust the settings you care about, then copy the finished PalWorldSettings.ini straight into your server. Every option is explained in plain English, and anything you do not touch keeps its official default.
Adjust your settings
Everything you do not touch keeps its official Palworld default.
The name players see in the server list. Keep it short so it is not cut off.
How many people can be online at once. Above 32 the game becomes noticeably unstable, so treat 32 as the practical ceiling.
Leave blank for a public server. Set it to make the server invite-only.
Required for in-game admin commands and for RCON. Always set one on a public server.
Nothing: keep everything. Items only: drop your backpack. Items & equipment: also drop what you are wearing. Everything: also drop your Pals.
Higher means players get hurt more. 2× is roughly double damage taken.
Enables the server-wide PvP ruleset. Usually paired with the player damage toggle below.
2× is double XP for players and Pals, 0.5× is half.
How likely a Pal Sphere is to stick. Higher makes catching much easier.
How many Pals roam the world. Raising this hurts server performance.
Hours to hatch the largest eggs; smaller eggs scale down from this. Set 0 for instant hatching.
How fast base Pals craft, mine and farm.
How much wood, ore and stone each node gives.
Lower makes everything lighter, so players carry more before slowing down.
How fast players get hungry. Lower means fewer food runs.
How fast your Pals get hungry. Lower keeps base Pals working instead of eating.
Raising this above 15 is the single biggest cause of Palworld server lag. Go carefully.
Higher makes days pass faster, so you get less daylight per cycle.
Raise this to get through the night quickly — a popular tweak on casual servers.
Lets players teleport between statues and bases.
You are seeing the settings most people change. Switch to for the full list, including PvP rules, base limits and network options.

Changed from default
Nothing yet — this is a clean vanilla config, which is perfectly valid to use as-is.
Defaults follow the Palworld 1.0 server config. If your server runs an older build, import your existing file first so unfamiliar keys are not introduced.
Applying the file to your server
Palworld only reads its config when the server process starts, so the order of these steps matters.
- 1
Stop the server first
Palworld rewrites PalWorldSettings.ini from memory when it shuts down. Editing a running server means your changes get overwritten.
- 2
Open the live config file
Linux: Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini — Windows: Pal/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/PalWorldSettings.ini. Do not edit DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini; the server never reads it.
- 3
Replace the whole file
Delete everything in it and paste the two lines from this generator. Partial edits are the most common cause of a config that silently does nothing.
- 4
Start the server and check
Join and confirm a setting you changed actually took effect — XP rate is the easiest one to spot. If nothing changed, the file is in the wrong place or the line has a syntax error.
Need somewhere to run it?
Our Palworld servers run on high-clock Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage, DDoS protection and a panel that lets you edit this exact file without touching SFTP.
