Not on a dedicated server. These are unmanaged machines: you have full root access, and backups are your own responsibility. Nothing stops you running whatever backup tooling you prefer, and the storage is yours to use for it. Our game server plans are different — those include backups in the control panel — but a dedicated machine is yours to administer. If you would rather not run it yourself, Managed Dedicated is a separate product where we handle OS installs, patches and security updates.
In-stock servers can be ordered on a monthly basis with no long-term commitment. Build-to-order (custom) configurations are billed for 3 months upfront to start the build — this is a prepaid term, not a delivery wait. Longer billing periods (3, 6, or 12 months) come with discounts up to 15%.
Yes. Depending on the hardware and what you need, we can often upgrade your existing node in place during a short maintenance window scheduled with you. When an in-place upgrade is not practical, we will migrate you to a higher-spec machine instead.
