Minecraft Server Name Generator

Pick the flavour of server you are running and generate names until one sticks. Every name is built from a themed word bank, so a PvP server gets PvP names rather than generic ones.

Picking a name that sticks

A generated name is a starting point. These are the things worth checking before you build a Discord, a domain and a logo around one.

  1. 1

    Say it out loud first

Players share servers by voice far more often than by link. If a name needs spelling out, it will lose you joins.

  2. 2

Check the domain and the socials

Search for the name alongside "Minecraft" before you commit. An existing server, a Discord or a taken .gg domain is worth knowing about now rather than after you have printed it on a resource pack.

  3. 3

Keep it short enough to fit

The server list gives your name one line. Something around 20 characters stays readable next to the icon and leaves room for the MOTD underneath.

  4. 4

    Avoid version numbers and years

A name with 1.21 or 2026 in it dates the moment you update. Put that in the MOTD, which takes seconds to change, not in the name.
