Satisfactory Console Commands and Cheats: Creative Mode and SML

Every useful Satisfactory console command, Creative Mode cheats, 1.2 Game Modes, and the real cheat commands the Satisfactory Mod Loader unlocks.

Updated September 28, 2026
Satisfactory

Satisfactory console commands come in three kinds, and only one of them is a cheat. The in-game debug console gives you graphics and diagnostic commands but no item spawning. Creative Mode is the game's official cheat menu. The hidden cheat-manager commands, such as GiveItemStacks, NoCost or Teleport, only work once the Satisfactory Mod Loader unlocks them.

This page covers all three for the current build, version 1.2 (latest fixes v1.2.4.0, August 2026), plus the Game Modes that 1.2 added. It also explains what carries over to a dedicated server. For the server's own console commands (server.SaveGame, FG.AutosaveInterval and the rest) and the HTTPS API, see Satisfactory Dedicated Server Commands, API and Settings.

Pick the Right Tool

You want to Use Disables achievements?
Show FPS, uncap the framerate, change FOV beyond the slider, remove fog Debug console No
Fly, build for free, give yourself items, unlock every tier, god mode Creative Mode Yes, permanently for that save
Cheaper or pricier recipes, randomized resource nodes, a harder Space Elevator Game Modes (new in 1.2, new games only) No
Teleport to your crosshair, instant research, set the time of day, extra inventory slots Cheat-manager commands via SML Not documented. Treat the save as modded

The Debug Console

Press ` (backtick), ~ (tilde) or ยง in-game. Press it again for a larger window, which materialFlowAnalysis needs. Nothing has to be enabled first. If none of those keys exist on your keyboard layout, see the rebind below.

The console runs on your own game only. The Satisfactory wiki is explicit that it "cannot be used for cheating (e.g. spawning items)". Effects last until you close the game to desktop. The one exception is Suicide, which is saved if you save afterwards.

Command Default What it does
Stat FPS Built-in FPS counter, works even in menus
Stat Unit Frame, game, draw and GPU time
t.MaxFPS <n> 0 Framerate cap. 0 is unlimited
FOV <n> Field of view beyond the slider. Unstable above 150
Gamma <n> 2.2 Brightness
r.Fog 0 / r.Atmosphere 0 1 Remove fog / atmosphere
r.ViewDistanceScale <n> 1 Render distance multiplier for trees, rocks and foliage
r.ScreenPercentage <percent> 100 Internal resolution scale, a big FPS lever
Grass.densityscale <n> 1 Grass density. 0 removes it
Pause Pause. Enter it again to resume
Suicide Same as Respawn in the Esc menu. Gets you out of a stuck spot
ShowDebug <type> Debug overlay. CIRCUITS (power grids), FACTORY (building counts) and TRAINS are the useful ones, ShowDebug Reset clears it
ToggleDebugOverlay 1 0 Debug info window
SaveWithNewSessionName <save> <session> Save under a new session name, splitting it in the Load menu. Quote names with spaces
materialFlowAnalysis <recipe> Items per second for a craftable item. Large window, case-sensitive blueprint name

Typing a space without pressing Enter lists every command, about 5,700 of them. Most are Unreal Engine internals. Fly, Ghost, GiveItem, Cheats, Teleport and God show up in that list but have never worked in the unmodded game, so don't read their presence as a hint.

To open the console with a different key, close the game and add this to %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windows\Input.ini:

[/Script/Engine.InputSettings]
ConsoleKeys=F6
Input.ini

Then mark Input.ini read-only. According to the wiki, the game otherwise deletes the file on launch.

Creative Mode: The Official Cheats

Creative Mode is what Satisfactory calls its cheat menu. It was named Advanced Game Settings until update 1.2 renamed it, and Coffee Stain's patch notes say "the functionality remains the same as before". Enable it by clicking Creative Mode when you start a new game, or tick Enable Creative Mode below the Load Game button for an existing save. After that, toggle individual options from the Esc menu.

Setting Affects Effect
No Build Cost You Building and customizing is free. Dismantling returns nothing
Flight Mode You Double-tap Space to fly. Hold Space to rise, C to descend
God Mode You Immune to every damage source except the world border
Give Items You Pick any item or stack and put it in your inventory
Keep Inventory You Keep equipment (default), everything, or nothing on death
No Power Everyone Buildings run with no power at all, not even a power line
No Fuel Everyone Vehicles need no fuel
No Unlock Cost Everyone Milestones, MAM research, AWESOME Shop and Project Assembly phases cost nothing
Unlock Alternative Recipes Instantly Everyone Alternates unlock as soon as their condition is met, with no Hard Drive
Disable Arachnid Creatures Everyone No Stingers spawn
Set Starting Tier Everyone Start at any tier. New games only
Set Game Phase / Unlock All Tiers / Unlock All Research in the MAM / Unlock All in the AWESOME Shop Everyone Skip progression

You can't turn Creative Mode off

Enabling it disables achievements, and the save stays a Creative Mode save for good. Creative saves show a pencil icon in the Load menu. If you only need a quick fix, such as clearing a stuck belt or giving back items lost to a bug, copy the save first and enable Creative Mode on the copy.

On a dedicated server, the server admin enables Creative Mode through the in-game Server Manager when creating or loading the session. Once it's on, every player can open the settings, not just the admin. "You" settings such as Flight Mode apply to whoever toggles them, while "Everyone" settings change the world for the whole server. Before you enable it on a shared server, make sure the group agrees. The server API calls this feature by its old name (ApplyAdvancedGameSettings). See article 381.

Game Modes: Change the Rules Without Cheating

Update 1.2 added Game Modes, a separate menu available only when you create a new game. Unlike Creative Mode, Game Modes don't disable achievements. Once set, each option is permanent for that save, and it applies in multiplayer too.

Option Values
Space Elevator Deliverable Cost Multiplier 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100
Recipe Parts Cost Multiplier 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2
Power Consumption Multiplier 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 5
Resource Node Randomization Default, Random, Basic Resource Rich, Advanced Resource Rich, Fossil Fuel Rich
Resource Node Purity Default, All Pure, Mostly Pure, Average, Mostly Impure, All Impure, Random
World Seed Shown so friends can match your map (vanilla is 0)

Setting recipe parts to 0.25 with All Pure nodes is a legitimate, achievement-safe way to make a run much faster. Setting deliverables to 100 is the opposite.

Real Cheat Commands With the Satisfactory Mod Loader

The game contains a cheat manager with far more than Creative Mode offers, but the vanilla console won't run it. The Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML, v3.12.0 for 1.2) unlocks it. The modding docs give these steps:

  1. Install SML with the Satisfactory Mod Manager (see How to install mods for Satisfactory).
  2. Turn on SML's Enable Cheats mod savegame setting in the in-game menu, or run SML.ForceAllowCheats 1 in the console.
  3. Run EnableCheats. The console answers that the command isn't recognized. The docs say that's expected, because SML hooks it quietly.
  4. Repeat step 3 every time you load a save, or install a mod such as Nog's Cheats that does it for you.
Command What it does
Cheats Opens Coffee Stain's cheat UI
Teleport Teleports you to where your crosshair points. No range limit, so aim carefully
God Toggles damage immunity
GiveItemStacks <BlueprintPath> <stacks> Full stacks of an item. Grows your inventory if needed. GiveItemStacks "" <n> just adds slots
GiveItemsSingle <BlueprintPath> <count> Individual items. Won't grow your inventory
GiveResourceSinkCoupons <n> Adds AWESOME Sink coupons
NoCost true / NoPower true Free building / no electricity needed. Saved into the save file and kept even after you uninstall the mods
TurboProductionMode true Instant crafting at the Craft Bench and Equipment Workshop
NoMessages true Mutes ADA unlock messages. Run it before mass unlocks
GiveSchematicsOfTier <tier> / GiveAvailableSchematics Unlock one tier's milestones / everything currently purchasable
GiveActiveMilestoneSchematic / CompleteResearch Finish the selected milestone / the running MAM research
SetNextGamePhase / ResetGamePhases Advance or reset the Space Elevator phase
SetTimeOfDay <hour> <minute> / SetTimeSpeedMultiplier <n> World clock. 0 freezes day and night
Slomo <n> Speeds up or slows down the whole game

Item commands need the item's blueprint path, not its display name. The Satisfactory wiki lists it in each item's infobox. SML also adds three chat commands (/help, /info, /list), typed in chat rather than the console. Every other slash command comes from a mod.

Modded cheats on a dedicated server

In multiplayer, every player and the server need the same mods. Whether the cheat manager can be unlocked for clients on a dedicated server isn't covered by the SML docs, so test on a copy of the save before trusting it with a shared world.

Using These on Your GameServerKings Server

  • Creative Mode and Game Modes are set in-game through the Server Manager when you create or load the session. Nothing in the panel needs changing.
  • The panel's Console tab runs the server's own commands (server.SaveGame, FG.AutosaveInterval and the others in article 381), not the client commands above. Run server.SaveGame "BeforeCreative" before enabling Creative Mode on a shared world. It gives you a clean save to go back to.
  • Downloading a copy of the save to experiment on locally is covered in How to Upload Your Existing World to Your Satisfactory Server, which works in both directions.

FAQ

How do I enable cheats in Satisfactory?

Enable Creative Mode, either as the new-game type or with Enable Creative Mode under Load Game. There's no cheat code. Console-based cheats need the Satisfactory Mod Loader.

Why doesn't GiveItem or Fly work in the console?

They're leftovers from the engine and have never worked in the unmodded game. Use Creative Mode's Give Items and Flight Mode, or SML's GiveItemStacks.

Can I turn Creative Mode off again?

No. The save stays Creative Mode, and its achievements stay disabled. Keep an untouched copy of any save you care about.

Do Game Modes disable achievements?

No. That's the difference from Creative Mode. They can only be chosen when you create a new game, though.

Does the console work on PlayStation and Xbox?

The Satisfactory wiki marks the debug console as desktop-only.
