Palworld Item IDs and Why There Is No Spawn Command

Palworld has no give or spawn command. Where item and Pal IDs actually live, the one ID list Pocketpair publish, and the rate settings that do the job instead.

Palworld

You cannot spawn items or Pals with a Palworld admin command. There is no /give, no /spawn, no item-ID argument and no cheat menu in the dedicated server. The vanilla command set is server management only — kick, ban, broadcast, teleport, save, shutdown — and no amount of admin authentication unlocks a second, hidden list.

What you can do on a Palworld server you control is change how generously the world hands things out. That route works for everyone at once, needs no mods, and survives every update.

What You Are Trying to Do, and What Actually Works

What you want Vanilla command? What actually works
Give yourself a specific item No Client-side mod (your game only)
Spawn a specific Pal No Client-side mod (your game only)
Give another player an item No Nothing — client-side mods cannot reach them
More loot from defeated enemies No EnemyDropItemRate
More yield from ore, trees and nodes No CollectionDropRate
More wild Pals in the world No PalSpawnNumRate
Easier Pal captures No PalCaptureRate
Faster levelling No ExpRate
Faster egg hatching No PalEggDefaultHatchingTime
Bigger crafting throughput No WorkSpeedRate

Every key in the right-hand column lives in PalWorldSettings.ini and applies to every player on every platform, including Xbox and PS5 players who cannot mod at all. Palworld Dedicated Server World Settings Explained documents each one, and the Palworld server settings generator will build the file for you.

Rates are the server-side substitute for spawning

An owner who wanted to hand out a rare drop gets closer to what they meant by doubling EnemyDropItemRate than by chasing a command that does not exist — a world that feels generous to everyone, rather than one admin with a full inventory.

Where Palworld Item and Pal IDs Actually Live

Palworld does carry internal identifiers, in data tables inside the packaged game files — items in DT_ItemDataTable, Pals in DT_PalMonsterParameter, both under Pal/Content/Pal/DataTable/. What it has nowhere for is typing one in. Nothing in vanilla Palworld reads an item ID from a chat box, so a list of them has no vanilla use. Mods and save editors consume them; the game does not.

Two traps if you go looking anyway:

  • The ID is not the name. Pal identifiers are internal code names — Lamball is SheepBall — so a list of display names is not a list of IDs.
  • They are not stable. Internal IDs can change on any game patch, which is why community ID references carry a version stamp. There is no official Pocketpair list of item or Pal IDs; the well-known references are fan-maintained.

The one official ID list Pocketpair publishes

Technology IDs are the exception, and they are the only IDs a server owner actually types. DenyTechnologyList in PalWorldSettings.ini blocks specific technologies by ID — DenyTechnologyList=("PALBOX","RepairBench") — and Pocketpair publish the full Technology ID table in their server documentation.

Worked Example: A Higher-Loot Server Without Mods

  1. Stop the server. Editing PalWorldSettings.ini while it runs gets your changes overwritten on shutdown.
  2. Open the File Manager and navigate to Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini.
  3. Change EnemyDropItemRate=1.000000 to 2.000000 and CollectionDropRate=1.000000 to 2.000000.
  4. Keep the whole OptionSettings=(...) block on one line, with no spaces around the = signs.
  5. Start the server and confirm the new rates in-game.

A syntax slip here throws no error — the server silently discards the whole block and runs on defaults. If nothing changed, check the syntax first.

Where This Goes Wrong

  • You installed a spawner mod and expected your friends to see the items. Nearly all Palworld mods are client-side. A UE4SS cheat menu changes your machine and nothing else; items you conjure exist in your session only.
  • You are on a console. Xbox, Game Pass and PS5 players cannot mod Palworld at all — there is no writable game folder and no Steam client. Server settings are the only lever that reaches them.
  • You are on our Linux servers and looking for server-side mods. Pocketpair's own line is "At this time, server-side mods work only on the dedicated server with Windows edition." A Linux server runs the vanilla command set and nothing more.
  • You used a mod on an official server. Pocketpair's mod guideline says "Enabling mods when connecting to official servers is strictly prohibited", with account suspension listed as a possible consequence.
  • A mod worked before the last patch. Palworld updates routinely break mods, and Pocketpair's guidance is to remove mod files entirely before patching rather than disabling them.

Common Questions

Does Palworld have a command to spawn items?

No. The built-in admin commands are server-management only — there is no official command to spawn items or Pals, and no ID argument anywhere in the set. See Palworld Admin Commands & Moderation Guide for what the command set does cover.

Can you spawn Pals in Palworld?

Not with a command. Pal spawning comes from client-side mods, and it affects only the machine running the mod. To get more Pals in the world for everyone, raise PalSpawnNumRate instead.

How do I give myself items in Palworld single player?

Through a client-side mod, usually a UE4SS-based cheat menu, or by editing the save. There is no console and no cheat code in the game itself — see Palworld Single Player Admin.

Is there a Palworld item ID list I can use?

Not an official one — Pocketpair publish only Technology IDs. Community lists exist, but nothing in vanilla Palworld accepts an ID, so they are useful only alongside a mod or save editor.

Can an admin give a player an item on a dedicated server?

No. There is no command for it, and spawner mods are client-side, so they cannot place anything in another player's inventory.

What happens if a spawner mod corrupts my world?

Pocketpair are explicit that "issues that occur while using MODs, or modified game data, are not covered by support", so a world broken by a mod is yours to restore from backup. Take one first — How to create a backup.
