Conan Exiles Admin Commands: Console, Purge & RCON List
Set AdminPassword, use Make Me Admin, then run every verified Conan Exiles console command — god mode, flight, spawning, purge control, building tools and chat commands.
Conan Exiles ships a full admin console: god mode, flight, item spawning, teleports, purge control, building forensics and live server-setting changes. This guide covers setting the admin password, granting yourself admin, opening the console, and every admin command verified against the official wiki.
1. How Admin Access Works
Conan Exiles has no permission tiers. There is no moderator level, no per-command whitelist and no owner list. Access is binary: you are either in admin mode or you are not.
| State | How you get there | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Default on join | Play the game |
| Admin | MakeMeAdmin <password>, or Make Me Admin in Server Settings |
Every command below, plus the Admin Panel |
Admin mode is per-session. It ends when you run MakeMeNormal or log out — it does not survive a relog. In single-player you already have admin rights and need no password.
The admin password is the entire security model
There is no way to give one person kick rights and another person spawn rights. Handing out
AdminPasswordhands out world-deleting commands such asDestroyTargetandBuildingDestroy. Give it only to people you would trust with a database restore.
2. Set the Admin Password
The password lives under the AdminPassword key in <Server Directory>/ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini — note that the folder is WindowsServer on Linux hosts too.
[ServerSettings]
AdminPassword=SomethingLongAndUnique AdminPassword does not require a restart, so you can also set it live with SetServerSetting (section 10) or over RCON.
Easiest route from the panel
Edit
ServerSettings.inifrom the File Manager tab of your rented Conan Exiles server, or push the change live from the Console tab withSetServerSetting "AdminPassword" "YourPassword". The Console tab is also where you run every RCON command in section 13 without installing a client.
3. Make Yourself Admin
Two routes. Both do the same thing.
Via the menu (works on PC and console):
- Open the menu (Esc).
- Go to Settings > Server Settings.
- Enter the admin password to authenticate.
- Tick Make Me Admin.
Admin Rights Granted appears in the top right. Close Settings with Esc.
Via the console — open it with Insert or ~, then:
| Command | What it does | Admin mode needed |
|---|---|---|
MakeMeAdmin [AdminPassword] |
Enter admin mode; shows Admin Rights Granted | No |
MakeMeNormal |
Leave admin mode | Yes |
4. Where to Type Commands
| Input | Key / location | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Command interface | Insert or ~ |
One-line input bar. ~ on some layouts is Shift + ` |
| Full console | Double-tap ~ |
Shows output. Needed for PrintPlayerInfo, GetServerHealth, GetAllServerSettings |
| Admin Panel GUI | Ctrl + Shift + C, or Shift + Insert |
Point-and-click equivalent of most commands |
| RCON | Port 25575 by default, or your panel's Console tab |
Remote moderation, whitelist, live settings |
Commands are typed without a leading slash. Anything with a / is a chat command (section 14) or a mod.
On PlayStation and Xbox the Admin Panel GUI works, but the command interface generally needs a USB keyboard, the hotkeys in section 11 are unsupported, and Teleport / SummonPlayer may be unavailable on PS4.
Ran a command and saw nothing? Open the full console
The single-line command bar (
Insertor one~) executes commands but never displays their output. Commands that print a result need the full console — double-tap~. This is the most common reason people thinkGetServerHealthorPrintPlayerInfo"does nothing".
[PlayerName]means the Steam name, and quoting mattersEvery command taking
[PlayerName]expects the Steam name, not the character name. If a player's Steam name and character name are identical, the name must be quoted:TeleportToPlayer "player".
5. Player & Session Commands
| Command | What it does | Admin mode |
|---|---|---|
ShowPlayers |
Toggle the player list — connected players, Steam names and IDs | Yes |
PrintPlayerInfo |
Look up a player's Steam name from their character name, or the reverse | Yes |
ToggleDebugHUD |
Coordinates (bottom left), ping / server performance / player count (top right), full player list | No |
BroadcastMessage [Message] |
Server-wide pop-up every player must click to dismiss | Yes |
SummonPlayer [PlayerName] |
Teleport a player to you — the standard fix for a stuck player | Yes |
PlayerCanBuildEverywhere [PlayerName] |
Let that player build in no-build zones | Yes |
LearnEmote [emote] |
Grant yourself an emote, e.g. LearnEmote wave |
Yes |
ToggleDebugHUD is the one genuinely useful command needing no admin rights — it is how ordinary players read their own coordinates.
There is no kick or ban console command in Conan Exiles. Moderation happens in the Admin Panel's Player List (select a player, then kick or ban) or over RCON. Do not go hunting for a console equivalent; there isn't one.
6. Movement, Camera & Visibility
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
Fly |
Free flight. Movement speed is inconsistent by design |
Ghost |
Flight plus noclip plus invisible to players. Building works, but pieces will not snap |
Walk |
Exit Fly or Ghost |
God |
Invulnerable to all damage, knockback and status effects |
Cloak |
NPCs cannot see you, even while you attack them |
Invisibility |
Invisible to other players |
NoSprintCost |
Sprinting costs no stamina (not infinite stamina) |
Teleport |
Teleport to whatever you are looking at |
TeleportPlayer X Y Z |
Teleport yourself to coordinates |
TeleportPlayer [PlayerName] X Y Z |
Teleport another player to coordinates |
TeleportToPlayer [PlayerName] |
Teleport yourself to a player |
ViewPlayer [PlayerName] |
Move your camera inside another player |
ViewSelf |
Return the camera to your own character |
To land inside a player, chain ViewPlayer [PlayerName], then Teleport, then ViewSelf.
ToggleDebugHUD

Walk
Teleportaimed at the sky drops you at 0,0,0Targeting empty air with
Teleportcurrently sends you to world origin, and horizontal aim is clamped to roughly one map chunk from the Cursewall. You die at the bottom of the world in every game mode, so turnGodon before experimenting.RightCtrl+RightShift+RightAlt+Lopens a copyable window with your precise coordinates before you jump.
7. Spawning Items
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
SpawnItem [ItemID] [Quantity] |
Spawn a quantity of an item into your inventory |
ItemID is numeric, not a short name. Every item's wiki page lists its ID. Common ones:
| Item | ID | Item | ID |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stone | 10001 |
Silk | 12513 |
| Wood | 10011 |
Brimstone | 14171 |
| Ironstone | 11001 |
Black Ice | 18041 |
| Iron Bar | 11501 |
Star Metal Ore | 18060 |
| Steel Bar | 11502 |
Hardened Steel Bar | 18062 |
| Hide | 12011 |
Aloe Extract | 53001 |
SpawnItem 11502 100
SpawnItem 18062 50 DLC items sit in reserved bands — 1000+ is Isle of Siptah, 100+ the Black Lotus Bazaar, 8100+ The Imperial East Pack. Mod authors are told to use IDs above 99999, so an ID up there came from a mod, not the base game.
There is no console command for creatures, thralls or NPCs — use the Admin Panel's Spawn Humanoid and Spawn Creatures tabs.
8. Destroying Buildings & Objects
This is where admin sessions go wrong. Read the callout before using anything in this table.
| Command / key | What it does |
|---|---|
BuildingIdentify |
Prints Buildable ID, Owner ID, owner name, position and actor path for the structure you are looking at |
BuildingDestroy [BuildableID] |
Destroys the entire building with that ID |
DamageTarget [Value] |
Deals damage to the object or NPC in your crosshairs |
DestroyTarget |
Removes almost an entire player structure — and every object of the same kind nearby |
Shift + Delete |
Remove one building part, or kill one NPC in front of you |
Ctrl + Shift + Delete |
Same, larger radius — also kills pets and deletes world chunks |
BuildingIdentify doubles as a decay-debugging tool: the Buildable ID changes when a structure becomes disconnected, so two pieces reporting different IDs are decaying separately.
DestroyTargetdeletes the map itself, andBuildingDestroytakes no confirmation
DestroyTargettemporarily removes every object of the same kind — all the trees, and the targeted parts of the terrain. Players then fall into the void and die there; undoing it needs a relog in single-player and a full server restart on a dedicated server.Ctrl+Shift+Deletedeletes world chunks the same way.BuildingDestroytakes a raw numeric ID and asks nothing, so one typo erases the wrong base. For routine cleanup useShift+Deletefor a single piece, orBuildingIdentify, read back the owner name, thenBuildingDestroywith the ID pasted rather than retyped — after a save backup.
9. Character & Follower Stats
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
SetStat [stat] [value] |
Set one of your own attributes |
SetFollowerStat [stat] [value] |
Set an attribute on your follower |
LevelFollowerUpTo [Value] |
Level a follower up to [Value] (20 max) |
SetEnergy [type] [Value] |
0 = corruption, 1 = heat |
Player attribute names, with their in-game labels:
| Stat name | Attribute | Stat name | Attribute |
|---|---|---|---|
AttributeHealth |
Vitality | AttributeAthleticism |
Agility |
AttributeStamina |
Grit | AttributeLeadership |
Authority |
AttributeMight |
Strength | AttributeEncumbrance |
Expertise |
Followers use the same names plus AttributeAccuracy, AttributeMetabolism, DamageModifierMelee and DamageModifierRanged.
10. Server Settings & Diagnostics
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
GetAllServerSettings |
List every server setting you can modify |
SetServerSetting "setting" "value" |
Change a setting live, without a restart |
GetServerHealth |
Server FPS, player count, spawned actors, number of player bases, total building parts, LOD count |
FlushLog |
Intended to clear the server event log — broken since May 2020, read the log via Esc > Event Log instead |
r.ShadowQuality [Value] |
0 disables shadows — a real client FPS lever on a crowded base |
p.clothphysics [Value] |
0 disables cloth movement and toggles the FPS display |
SetServerSetting reaches settings the Server Settings tab does not expose, including MessageOfTheDay. Quotes around both arguments are required. Not every setting takes effect live — some revert to the last loaded value unless changed while the server is offline.
GetAllServerSettings
SetServerSetting "MessageOfTheDay" "Wipe Sunday 18:00 UTC"
GetServerHealth GetServerHealth is the number to watch on a struggling server: total building parts and spawned actor count drive Conan Exiles server FPS into the floor far harder than player count does.
11. The Purge
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
FillPlayerPurgeMeter |
Fill your own purge meter |
FillPlayerClanPurgeMeter |
Fill your clan's purge meter |
EmptyPlayerClanPurgeMeter |
Empty your clan's purge meter |
FillClanPurgeMeter |
Fill a clan's purge meter — single-player only |
FillAllClanPurgeMeters |
Fill every clan's purge meter |
EmptyAllClanPurgeMeters |
Empty every clan's purge meter |
StartPlayerPurge |
Start the purge once the meter is full |
StartNextPurgePhase |
Force a new purge |
StartNextWave |
Start the next wave of the current purge |
EndPurge |
End the purge |
Fill the meter first, then start. StartPlayerPurge does nothing on an empty meter.
12. Admin Hotkeys and the Admin Panel
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
Ctrl + Shift + C or Shift + Insert |
Open the Admin Panel |
Insert or ~ |
Open the command interface |
Double ~ |
Open the full console with output |
RightCtrl + RightShift + RightAlt + L |
Copyable precise-coordinates window (repeat to close) |
Shift + Delete |
Kill / destroy a single target |
Ctrl + Shift + Delete |
Kill / destroy, large radius — deletes world chunks |
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F10 |
NoBuildingCosts — infinite building materials |
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + X |
Start a sandstorm (takes a few minutes to arrive) |
NoBuildingCosts needs at least one of each relevant item already in your inventory. Any admin command can be bound to a key under Settings > Keybindings; Insert is permanently bound to the console and cannot be reassigned, and keybinds the UI will not let you edit can be set by hand in Input.ini.
The Admin Panel itself is point-and-click and covers things with no console equivalent:
- Player stats — Encumber, Health Min, Health Max, +1 Knowledge, +Level, Set Level, Print XP, Show Stats
- Modes — Walk, Fly, Ghost, Cloak, God, DemiGod, Invisibility, NoSprintCost
- Survival — Toggle Eating, Toggle Hungry, Toggle Thirsty, Change Food Meter, Change Water Meter
- Time and weather — Change / Set Time of Day, Set Day Length, Freeze Time, Freeze Sky, Set Fog Severity, Set Target Weather Severity, Set Wind Severity, Set Wind Trajectory
- Spawning — Spawn Item (Resource, Gear, Building, Other), Spawn Humanoid, Spawn Creatures
- Player List — connected players, and where kicks and bans live
Time of day, weather and wind are panel-only. There is no SetTime or weather console command.
13. RCON
Conan Exiles uses the Source RCON protocol — the same wire format Minecraft uses — so any Minecraft- or Source-compatible RCON client works.
[RconPlugin]
RconEnabled=1
RconPassword=YourRconPassword
RconPort=25575
RconMaxKarma=60 The same keys work as command-line arguments: ConanSandboxServer.exe -RconEnabled=1 -RconPassword=... -RconPort=25575. RconMaxKarma is the brute-force guard; leave it at 60.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
help |
List the RCON commands your build supports |
con <slot> <command> |
Run a command as the player in that slot, e.g. con 0 setstat level 60 |
whitelistplayer <steamid> |
Add a Steam ID to the whitelist |
unwhitelistplayer <steamid> |
Remove a Steam ID from the whitelist |
SetServerSetting also works over RCON, which makes it the cleanest way to change settings on a live server. RCON commands are logged to RconCommandLog.log in the server's Logs folder; connections land in ConanSandbox.log.
Funcom has never published a complete RCON command list — the documentation has been "planned" since 2018. Run help against your own server and treat that output as authoritative for your build rather than assuming a command exists.
14. Chat Commands
Any player can use these; none require admin.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/s or /say |
Switch to the local channel |
/c or /clan |
Switch to the clan channel |
/g or /global |
Switch to the global channel |
/me [text] |
Emote-style action message |
/emote [name] |
Play an emote, e.g. /emote wave |
/whoami |
Your in-game ID, clan, character name and Steam name |
/fontsize [points] |
Chat font size |
/showchannelname |
Show the channel name in chat |
/showtimestamp |
Show timestamps (may be broken) |
/roll [low] [high] |
Roll a number in that range |
/dice [count] [sides] |
Roll dice, e.g. /dice 2 6 |
/help |
List chat commands |
/whoami is the fastest way to get a player to hand you their Steam name for TeleportToPlayer or SummonPlayer.
15. Conan Exiles Enhanced
Conan Exiles Enhanced is the Unreal Engine 5 rebuild, and the admin command set carries over unchanged. Two server-side differences matter: the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah are merged into one map split into regions, excluded per-server with [Regions] ExcludedRegions=IsleOfSiptah in Engine.ini, and the Linux server binary requires the game.db filename to be all lowercase. Funcom's official Enhanced settings reference is at exiles-enhanced.inflexion.io.
16. FAQ
How do I make myself admin in Conan Exiles?
Set AdminPassword in ServerSettings.ini, then either tick Make Me Admin under Esc > Settings > Server Settings after entering the password, or type MakeMeAdmin YourAdminPassword in the console. Admin Rights Granted appears in the top right when it works. In single-player you already have admin and need no password.
How do I open the admin console in Conan Exiles?
Press Insert or ~ for the single-line command interface. Double-tap ~ for the full console, which is the only one that shows command output — you need it for GetServerHealth, GetAllServerSettings and PrintPlayerInfo. Ctrl + Shift + C opens the Admin Panel GUI instead.
How do I spawn items?
SpawnItem [ItemID] [Quantity] — for example SpawnItem 11502 100 for 100 Steel Bars. IDs are numeric and listed on each item's wiki page. The Admin Panel's Spawn Item tab is easier if you do not know the ID, and it is the only route for NPCs and creatures.
How do I fly or become invisible?
Fly for flight, Ghost for flight plus noclip plus invisibility to other players, Invisibility for invisibility alone, and Cloak to become invisible to NPCs while still able to attack them. Walk exits Fly and Ghost.
How do I kick or ban a player?
There is no kick or ban console command. Open the Admin Panel, go to Player List, select the player and use the kick or ban action there. For remote moderation use RCON, plus whitelistplayer and unwhitelistplayer if you want a closed server.
How do I delete a griefed base without wrecking the map?
Look at the structure, run BuildingIdentify to get its Buildable ID and owner, then BuildingDestroy <ID>. Do not use DestroyTarget for this — it also removes terrain and other objects of the same type, and undoing it needs a server restart.
Why did my admin rights disappear?
Admin mode is per-session, not persistent. Logging out, reconnecting, or running MakeMeNormal drops you back to a normal player. Re-run MakeMeAdmin, or tick Make Me Admin again, after every reconnect.
