Valheim Item IDs: Every New 1.0 Spawn ID (Deep North)
Prefab IDs for the 231 items and 60 creatures Valheim 1.0 added, from the game's object database. Plus the ID traps and what works on a dedicated server.
Valheim's spawn command does not take the name you see in your inventory. It takes a prefab ID — the internal string Iron Gate gave the object — and the two are often nothing like each other. Deep North's headline metal shows as Bloodgold and spawns as Gold. The ore it comes from shows as Petrified Tissue and spawns as GoldOre. Guessing does not work, which is why lists like this one exist.
This page covers the 231 items and 60 creatures Valheim 1.0 added, taken from the game's own object database rather than from patch notes, plus the naming traps that make an ID list worth reading instead of skimming. Every ID below was generated from Valheim 1.0.7 and checked on 11 September 2026.
These IDs do not work on a vanilla dedicated server
spawnis a cheat command, and a dedicated server refuses every cheat command no matter who you are — being inadminlist.txtdoes not change it. The only supported route is the Server devcommands mod by JereKuusela, which needs BepInEx. In your panel that is the Modding Framework startup variable (MOD_FRAMEWORK), set toBepInEx; there is noSERVER_TYPEvariable on a Valheim server whatever older guides say. How to install mods for your Valheim server has the procedure, and Valheim console commands explains why the block exists.
Spawning anything flags the world's achievements
Since 9 September 2026, using
spawnpermanently marks your character and the world save as locked out of achievements, and the mark spreads to anyone who picks a spawned item up. Hotfix 1.0.12 (11 September 2026) added an opt-out devcommand, yesiuseddevcommandsbutiwantmyachievementsanyway, but it is Steam only so far. Valheim's cheat flag and achievements covers the whole mechanic before you decide.
How to use an ID
spawn Gold 50
spawn AtgeirGold_FrostFire 1
spawn FrozenKing 1 2 The syntax is spawn <PrefabID> [amount] [level]. Amount defaults to 1, and level only does anything for creatures — spawn FrozenKing 1 2 gives you a one-star version. IDs are case insensitive, so spawn gold 50 is fine.
Two things that catch people out, both covered in more depth in Valheim console commands:
- A trailing
*is a wildcard, not a typo-saver.spawn Sword*spawns every item prefab whose name contains "Sword" — 59 of them in 1.0.7. - Items spawn one at a time before stacking. Large amounts, or high-level creatures that drop thousands of items when they die, can lock the game up.
That article owns the commands side — how to open the console, enabling devcommands, admin setup, the full cheat list. This page owns the IDs. If spawn itself is not working for you, start there.
New in Valheim 1.0
Valheim 1.0 added 433 item prefabs and 60 creature prefabs, and removed none. Filtering those 433 down to things a player can actually hold — an icon and a real $item_ localisation token — leaves 285, and stripping the 53 NPC-only duplicates described further down leaves 231 genuinely new items.
None of them are on the community wiki's Item IDs page, which was last edited on 20 August 2026, three weeks before 1.0 shipped. Most do not exist on that wiki at all yet.

The same spawn syntax works, and the third argument sets the star level: spawn Moose 1 2 gives a one-star moose. The Deep North boss arrives in three phases, FrozenKing, FrozenKing_p2 and FrozenKing_p3, and the eight Aspect_* entries are the boss echoes.

IDs you would never guess from the name
These are the entries that make a display-name list useless. In every case the name in your inventory and the string spawn wants share no obvious root. All are new in 1.0 unless noted.
| What the game calls it | What you type |
|---|---|
| Bloodgold | Gold |

| Bloodgold Protection Idol | Upgrader7Armor |
| Nord Atgeir | AtgeirGold |
| Frostfire Atgeir | AtgeirGold_FrostFire |
| Thunderblood Atgeir | AtgeirGold_BloodLightning |
Three patterns are worth learning, because between them they cover most of the Deep North endgame:
- Everything in the Bloodgold tier has
Goldin its ID and never in its name. The Nord, Thunderblood and Frostfire weapon lines are all<Weapon>Gold,<Weapon>Gold_BloodLightningand<Weapon>Gold_FrostFire. There are 79Gold-family prefabs in 1.0 and every one of them is new — the word never appears in a single display name. - The upgrade idols are numbered, not named. All sixteen are
Upgrader<0-7><Weapon|Armor>, tier 0 being Wooden and tier 7 Bloodgold. The name never hints at the number. - "Mould" in game is
Moldin the ID. Iron Gate's UI uses British spelling and the prefab uses American. Every one of the 29 moulds isMold<Base>, and every matching cast is<Base>Uncooked.
When one name maps to several IDs
44 display names in 1.0 are shared by 116 different item prefabs. Before 1.0 that was 13 names across 28 prefabs, so the problem roughly tripled at launch. This is the part a scraped display-name list cannot get right, and it is worth understanding before you trust any list.
Most of it — 28 of the 44 — is one real item plus NPC copies. Valheim 1.0 introduced 53 prefabs prefixed FW_ and SP_, none of which existed in 0.221.12. They are loadout copies carried by Fallen Warrior and spirit-caller enemies, and they share the real item's display name, description and icon exactly. SwordBlackmetal, FW_SwordBlackmetal and SP_SwordBlackmetal all read "Black Metal Sword". You almost always want the one with no prefix.
The remaining 16 are genuine collisions between two real items:
| Display name | Prefab IDs sharing it | Which one you probably want |
|---|---|---|
| Arbalest | CrossbowArbalest, DvergerArbalest, DvergerArbalest_shoot, DvergerArbalest_shootAshlands, DvergerArbalest_shootDeepNorth |
CrossbowArbalest — the rest are Dvergr NPC gear and their firing pseudo-items |
| Dyrnwyn | SwordIronFire, SwordDyrnwyn |
SwordIronFire is the long-standing Ashlands sword; SwordDyrnwyn is the reforged variant |
| Ectoplasm | Ectoplasm, Voidplasm |
Ectoplasm is the Mistlands drop; Voidplasm is new in 1.0 |
| Raw Fish | FishRaw, FishAnglerRaw |
FishRaw is the generic one |
| Draugr Trophy | TrophyDraugr, TrophyDraugrFem |
Both are real drops — male and female draugr |

The troll trophy IDs are the wrong way round
The Black Forest Troll drops
TrophyFrostTroll, notTrophyForestTroll. We checked the drop table of every creature in both the 1.0.7 and the 0.221.12 dumps: no creature dropsTrophyForestTrollat all. It exists as a prefab andspawn TrophyForestTrollworks, but it is an orphan, and it has been that way since long before 1.0. If you are replacing a trophy a player lost,TrophyFrostTrollis the one they had.
Items with no English name yet
Eleven prefabs in 1.0.7 have no English translation, so the game shows the raw token in square brackets. They are spawnable and several are clearly unfinished or cut content. A list built by scraping display names either drops these or prints the bracket text as if it were a name.

Where this data comes from, and how to re-check it
Dataset version and date
Every ID on this page was generated from Valheim 1.0.7 by the JotunnDoc tool, part of the MIT-licensed Jötunn modding framework. The dump was committed on 10 September 2026 and we fetched and verified it on 11 September 2026. The diff was taken against the same tool's 0.221.12 dump from 8 March 2026 — the last pre-1.0 generation.
This matters more than it sounds. JotunnDoc runs inside the game and walks Valheim's own ObjectDB at runtime, so the version string in the file is stamped by Version.GetVersionString() rather than typed by a person, and completeness is structural rather than editorial. It is not a wiki and it is not a scrape.
Two honest caveats:
- The dump is 1.0.7; the current build is 1.0.12. We read Iron Gate's Hotfix 1.0.10 & 1.0.12 notes (11 September 2026) line by line: they change armour repair, Greydwarf Shaman damage, snow behaviour, sounds, a crash, the ban list ID format and the achievements opt-out. No item was added or renamed. The list is current for 1.0.12, but the regeneration is done by a human maintainer after each patch, so check the dump's own header before trusting it after a content patch.
- The dump is ASCII. Two display names lose an accented character in it — "Mushrooms Galore à la Mistlands" arrives without the à. We have restored it above.
We cross-checked the whole thing against the community wiki's Item IDs page, pulled live from its MediaWiki API on 11 September 2026: 1,063 of its 1,083 IDs, or 98.2%, exist in the 1.0.7 data (98.7% allowing for capitalisation). Every one of the 14 genuine misses is a wiki defect rather than a gap in the dump — AxeBerzerk for the real AxeBerzerkr, MeadBaseBzerkir for MeadBaseBzerker, five spear<material>_projectile entries where the game uses <material>spear_projectile, and a handful of things like iron_gate and Early_Axes that were never prefabs.
FAQ
Can I spawn items on a Valheim dedicated server?
Not in vanilla. spawn is a cheat command and dedicated servers refuse all of them regardless of admin status. Install Server devcommands by JereKuusela on your admin client, set the Modding Framework variable (MOD_FRAMEWORK) to BepInEx so the server side loads, and make sure your ID is in adminlist.txt — the mod checks admin status, it does not grant it. How to install mods for your Valheim server has the full procedure and Best Valheim server mods that work after 1.0 tracks whether it has been rebuilt.
Why doesn't spawn Bloodgold work?
Because Bloodgold's prefab ID is Gold. Use spawn Gold 50. The whole Deep North metal tier works this way: the ID contains "Gold" and the display name never does.
Does spawning items disable achievements?
Yes, and it affects the world save rather than just you. Since 9 September 2026 using spawn permanently flags your character and the world, and picking up a spawned item puts another player into a temporary cheat state. Since Hotfix 1.0.12 on 11 September 2026 a Steam player can opt back in with yesiuseddevcommandsbutiwantmyachievementsanyway; that hotfix has not reached the other platforms yet. Valheim's cheat flag and achievements has the detail.
What Valheim version are these IDs from?
Valheim 1.0.7, verified on 11 September 2026. Iron Gate's 1.0.10 and 1.0.12 hotfixes added no items, so the list is current for 1.0.12.
Is this every item in Valheim?
No, deliberately. Valheim 1.0.7 contains 1,517 item prefabs, of which 969 are things a player can hold. Most of the rest are creature attack pseudo-items and internal projectiles that pad competing lists without helping anyone. This page covers the 231 items and 60 creatures that 1.0 added, plus the naming traps — for a pre-1.0 item the community wiki's list is still accurate, since nothing was removed in 1.0.
Does a level argument work on items?
Only on creatures. spawn Wolf 1 3 gives a two-star wolf; the third argument does nothing useful for an item.
